Ordinance No. 2021-25: Solid Waste and Divertible Material Container and Bulky Item Requirements
Recommendation
a) Determine this action is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Sections 15060(c)(2) and 15060(c)(3) of the CEQA Guidelines because this action will not result in a physical change to the environment, directly or indirectly; and
b) Conduct second reading and adopt Ordinance No. 2021-25, An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Newport Beach, California, Amending Chapter 6.04 (Garbage, Refuse, Cuttings), Chapter 6.06 (State Mandated Municipal Solid Waste Diversion Programs), and Chapter 14.17 (Water-Efficient Landscaping) of the Newport Beach Municipal Code Necessary to Implement Senate Bill 1383 (Short-Lived Climate Pollutant Reduction Act of 2016) State Mandates.
