Special Tree Replacement/Removal Request - 120 E. Balboa Blvd. (Median-1) Special Landmark City Tree
Recommendation
Staff recommends that the Parks, Beaches, and Recreation (PB&R) Commission consider authorizing the removal and replacement of the Special Landmark City Hoop Pine (Araucaria cunninghamii) (ID# 3517500) located at 120 E. Balboa Blvd. Staff’s request meets the procedural requirements for Special Tree Removals established in Section III of the City Council Policy G-1 - Retention and Removal of City Trees. If approved by the Commission, there will be a one-for-one replacement tree, 36-inch box, Norfolk Island Pine (Araucaria hetrophylla) installed at the City’s cost.
