Special Tree Replacement/Removal Request - 1601 Mariners Drive (Special City Tree)
Recommendation
Staff recommends the Parks, Beaches, and Recreation (PB&R) Commission consider the removal and replacement request of the Special City Jacaranda tree (Jacaranda mimosifolia) located at 1601 Mariners Drive. The applicant, Sean McEachern, has met the procedural requirements for reforestation established in Section IV. A of City Council Policy G-1 - Retention, Removal, and Maintenance of City Trees (G-1 Policy). If approved by the PB&R Commission, there will be a one-for-one replacement tree, 48-inch box, Jacaranda tree (Jacaranda mimosifolia) installed at the applicant’s cost.
