Recommendation
Project Summary
A coastal development permit (CDP) to allow the remodel and addition of an existing 2,714-square-foot single-unit dwelling. The proposed addition is approximately 200 square feet and includes a new third floor at 29-feet-tall, with covered and uncovered decks. The addition is greater than a 10% increase in height, therefore the proposed project requires a CDP. The proposed development includes additional appurtenances such as walls, fences, patios, hardscape, drainage devices, and landscaping.
Recommended Action
1. Conduct a public hearing;
2. Find this project exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Section 15301 under Class 1 (Existing Facilities) of the CEQA Guidelines, California Code of Regulations, Title 14, Division 6, Chapter 3, because it has no potential to have a significant effect on the environment; and
3. Adopt Draft Zoning Administrator Resolution No. _ approving Coastal Development Permit filed as PA2023-0132 (Attachment No. ZA 1).
